If you imagined your parent (or yourself) growing old in the comfort of their own home, you're not alone. This option, traditionally referred to as aging in place, is the most common scenario Canadian's picture when asked their preference. Whether your parent is still living in their own home, or they've moved in with you, helpful in-home caregivers are available to provide in-home care for the elderly.

In-home care is a service that provides caregivers who will come into the home to assist with activities of daily living, including light housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and grooming. Additional services related to help with personal care for toileting and bathing are also available. Caregivers can come as many times as you would like, but do not provide medical care.
